V Swaminathan Memorial Gold Medal for Surabhi Jaiswal

Nagpur: Surabhi Jaiswal, an MSc student who stood first merit in Environment Science subject was awarded with V Swaminathan Memorial Gold Medal. Former NEERI Director Dr Shanta Satyanaran presented the Gold Medal to Surabha at a function held at Government Institute of Science here recently.

Present on the occasion were former Divisional Forest Officer R S Bhangu and Director of Institute of Science Dr R G Atram.
Surabhi Jaiswal scored 80 percent marks in Environment Science in the MSc exam conducted by Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) and bagged the meritorious position. The Nagpur Municipal Corporation had recently felicitated Surabhi for her outstanding work in conservation of environment. She is daughter of renowned dentist Dr Prakash Jaiswal and Meera Jaiswal.

Surabha enthusiastically participates in various ventures of Green Vigil Foundation in creating awareness on environment conservation and other related issues. Working with Reva Enviro Sysyem, Surabhi participates in street plays aimed at spreading message on environment conservation, energy conservation and other related issues. She and her team had undertaken a special campaign to curb water pollution at Futala Lake during Ganesh Festival. She participates in various programmes organized under the guidance of Kaustubh Chatterjee of Green Vigil Foundation.
