United all trade associations of City call for total bandh on April 1 against LBT

Nagpur News:  Showing united front almost all  trade associations of Nagpur has  come together to support  One day Total Bandh  call given by Nag Vidarbha Chamber of commerce (NVCC) to appose the imposition of Local Body Tax (LBT) from April 1, 2013 .

 

NVCC flags off motor van opposing LBT

NAG Vidharbha chamber of commerce (NVCC) will be supporting the bandh announced on April 1, 2013 by all trade associations of the city. For this purpose, Dipen Agrawal, President Of NVCC and Hemant Gandhi, Secretary have flagged off a motor van with banners on all sides opposing the Local Body Tax (LBT), which the state Government would be Implementing in lieu of Octroi effective  from April 1. The van Travelled through all the important markets  in the city to bring about awareness of bandh among the people.

NVCC has appealed to the state Government to immediately roll back its decision to implement LBT. More than 100 trade association would be supporting the bandh.

 

Truck Owners association flays move to introduce LBT

NAPUR Local Truck Owners Association conducted a meeting to appose the imposition of Local Body Tax (LBT) from April 1, 2013 The meeting was conduced under the chairmanship of Raju Vyas, President of the Association. Sanjay Agrawal, Convenor of LBT Action Committee, Ajay Madan, Vice-President of Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC), Nilesh Suchak, former President of NVCC.

Condemming the move of the State government, Vyas said that not a single member of the Association Would register for LBT. Present were Vinod Sahni, Sonu Pal, Sanjay Tiwari, Gopal Mehadia, Rajendra Chokshe, Manohar Sahajramni, Sanjay Paliwal, Raju Arora, Ram Motwani, Radhakishan Dayani, Vikki Sahajramni , Vikki Lulla, Pankaj Dude, Raju Varai, Ashok Patil, Sharma Itwale, Sunil Sahani, J J Arora, Shankar Gupta, Ganesh Kumke, Pravin Dulewali, Akki Arora, Anil Agrawal, Sunil Agrawal, Diwakar Halmare ,Devandra Dhawade and Others.

 

Wholesale Grain merchants Support NVCC’s Bandh call    

The Wholsale grain and seeds merchants Association has supported the bandh call given by Nag Vidarbha Chamber of commerce (NVCC) against LBT on April 1, 2013. Federation of Association Maharashtra. Mumbai and Pune Merchants Chamber have given bandh call in the entire State. The Wholesale Grain and seeds Merchant Associations has demanded the Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan and the Deputy CM Ajit Pawar to roll back decision of introducing LBT, Informs a press release issued by Santoshkumar Agrawal, President and Pratap Motwani, secretary.

 Genral Merchants Oppose LBT      

IN ORDERD to harass trades and comman man, state Government has Discovered Local Body Tax (LBT) in lieu of Octroi Duty with effect from April 1, 2013. When Government had introduced Value Added Tax (VAT), it had promised that there would be no other tax and  Octroi Duty Would be withdrawn. However Octroi was withdrawn in all other places except Nagpur, said Raju Makhija, President of the Nagpur Genral Merchants Association. He was addressing traders meeting held recently.

Government has imposed immense pressure on trades and all of sudden FDI was introduced. Present were Sanjay Agrawal, Chairman of LBT Sangharsh Samiti, Ajay Madan, Vice-president Of Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce, Nilesh Suchak, former President of NVCC, Devidas Raut, Rajesh Ahuja, Sushil Sethia, Omprakash Ahuja and others.
