Nagpur: Depressed over an unfulfilled desire to get married, a young man ended his life at Vaishali Nagar in Pachpaoli police station limits in Nagpur.
The deceased, identified as Abhijeet alias Mantu Sunil Samudre, a resident of area near Bhavani Chowk, Vaishali Nagar, was employed as a porter at Kalamna Railway Station. According to police, Abhijeet’s relatives disclosed that he had been facing significant stress over his inability to find a suitable match. He had repeatedly expressed his sadness to them and had said that he felt his life was not worth living if he couldn’t get married.

On the night of August 4, Abhijeet hung himself using a sari tied to a ceiling fan. The Pachpaoli Police, led by Assistant Police Inspector Praveen Somvanshi, reached the spot and conducted a panchnama. The body was sent to hospital for post-mortem.
A case of accidental death was registered by Pachpaoli Police.
