Nagpur: UGC has recently issued a notification and order to start Student Counselling Center in Higher Education Institute premises to ensure the safety of students in every way. This Student Counselling Center is expected to be helpful in reducing the gap between students and institutes. This Counselling Center will encourage interactive initiatives between students, in which it will deal with students’ anger, pressure, fear of change, fear of failure, and the sense staying far away from house etc. The UGC has sent this notification to all the Universities.

It is believed that this initiative will give an opportunity to reduce the informal and interactive difference between the students and the institutions. Under this arrangement, the teachers will be asked to play the role of parents towards students in the college campus so that they can be helped in every possible way. These teachers will help the student to move forward in the career at both intellectual and emotional levels. By contacting the hostel’s warden, they will find out the details of the personal problems of the students and will try to solve their problems. Also, if needed, choose the option to consult a psychologist.
