Two youths attacked murderously over old rivalries in separate incidents; four booked


Nagpur.

Two incidents of murderous assaults were reported in city on Thursday. Both attempts to murder were the outcome of ensuing old rivalries. Four persons have been booked in this connection.

In the first incident, the victim Advin Lesley Moncrif (17), resident of Plot No. 50, Rameshwari along with his friend Mangesh Tichkule was standing in front of Manvi Boutique on Manewada Road around 3 pm on Thursday. At the same time, the three accused Tanna alias Prashant Londe, resident of Vasant Nagar, Palash Vijay Diwte (21), residing behind Ramna Maroti Mandir and Sonu Waghmare accosted Advin and Mangesh. The three accused first indulged in hot exchange of words over old rivalry with Advin and Mangesh. However, the wordy duel took an ugly turn when the three accused attacked Advin with a ‘Khanjir’ (large knife) and inflicted deep stab wounds with an intention to kill him. Later, the accused fled the spot.

Ajni PSI Morey, based on a complaint filed by seriously injured Advin, booked the three accused under Sections 307, 34 of the IPC and Sub-Section 142 of Mumbai Police Act and searching for them.

In the second incident, a 25-year old Bablu Ashok Pandhre, resident of Sudam Nagri, Ambazari was stabbed on stomach by a 40-year old man Sunil Bhaurao Dhoke. The accused Sunil Dhoke, resident of Dattawadi, was keeping a grudge against Bablu for abusing him publicly. On Thursday at about 6.30 pm, the accused Sunil Dhoke spotted Bablu in the area and attacked him with a knife and inflicted serious injuries on stomach with an intention to eliminate him.

Ambazari Senior PSI Tawde has booked the accused Sunil Dhoke under Section 307 and Sub-Section 142 of Mumbai Police Act and probing the matter further.
