Two-wheeler theft cracked: Accused arrested, stolen vehicles recovered in Nagpur

Nagpur: The Nagpur Police have solved a two-wheeler theft case under the jurisdiction of Wadi Police Station, arresting a 42-year-old accused and recovering stolen vehicles worth Rs 1.20 lakh.

The case dates back to April 17, 2026, when complainant Kunal Prakash Jaiswal (27), a resident of Mahakali Nagar, Manewada, had parked his Honda Activa (MH-49-AN-2950), valued at Rs 50,000, near A-One Bar and Restaurant at Wadi T-Point. The vehicle was locked and left at the spot between 11:15 am and 7:00 pm, but was later found missing.

Based on his complaint, a case was registered at Wadi Police Station against an unknown accused under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

During the investigation, police officials used technical analysis and gathered credible intelligence, which led them to detain suspect Adarsh alias Amol Sadanand Meshram (42), a resident of Dawlameti, Wadi. During interrogation, the accused confessed to stealing the Activa.

Further questioning revealed his involvement in another theft case, where he had stolen a Hero Splendor motorcycle (MH-36-AC-5470), valued at Rs 70,000, from the same jurisdiction.

Police have recovered both stolen two-wheelers from the accused. Further investigation is underway to ascertain if he is linked to additional theft cases.
