Nagpur: A birthday celebration turned into a tragedy after two teenagers were killed and another seriously injured in a horrific road accident in Nagpur’s Kalamna police station limits early Wednesday.
According to police, friends Mihir Anand Behar, Bhaumik Amol Larokar, and Sagar Sanjay Melwani had gathered to celebrate a friend’s birthday. As some of their friends were yet to arrive, Mihir reportedly took his father’s car and went for a drive with Bhaumik and Sagar.

Police said the accident occurred on the Pawangaon–Bharatwada Y-Point Road, where Mihir allegedly lost control of the speeding car. The vehicle rammed into the rear of a truck parked along the roadside.
The impact was so severe that the car was extensively damaged. Bhaumik Larokar and Sagar Melwani died on the spot due to the impact.
Mihir Behar, who was driving the car, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Tarangan Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
On receiving information about the accident, Kalamna Police reached the spot and launched an investigation. The tragic incident has left the victims’ families devastated.
