Two nabbed in extortion case, others absconding

Nagpur News : Gittikhadan police have arrested two men on the charges of extortion on Monday night. According to information, accused Afsar Khan Rashid Khan (30), Amjed Khan Rashid Khan (28), Wasim Khan Rashid Khan (21) and Azhar khan Rashid Khan, all residents of Ganga Nagar slums, Mankapur Ring Road, looted valuables worth Rs 25,000 from Rasul Primary School premises, situated at Plot no. 81 and 101, Khasra No. 254/4, teachers’ colony, Jafar Nagar.

According to the complaint filed by Samsun Gais Nisya Mohammad Ismail Pathan (60), a resident of Plot No. 10, Hiwri layout, Bhandara Road, accused illegally entered the empty premises of the school and looted the valuable like chairs, benches and other valuables. The accused then demanded Rs 10 lakh as extortion to vacant the school premises. They threatened to kill Samsun and his family if their demands were not entertained.

On the complaint of Samsun, Gittikhadan police arrested Wasim and Azhar Khan while the other two are absconding. Police have registered a case of extortion under the sec 447, 448, 385, 379, 506b and 34 of the IPC. Cops are further investigating the case, informed PI Chakshupal Bahadure.
