Nagpur: Even as Director General of Police (DGP) Pravin Dixit expressed his displeasure over spate of chain-snatching cases in city, two more women were robbed of their gold stuff in Pratapnagar and Sonegaon police jurisdictions on Tuesday.

In the first incident, the victim Snigandha Loknath Bandopadhyay (51), resident of Flat No. 505, B Wing, Shri Ganesh Gauri Apartment, Kotwal Nagar, was returning home walking after visiting Rajeshwar Mandir around 7.20 pm on Tuesday. When she was nearing her house, two unidentified motorcycle-borne goons snatched gold chain Snigandha was wearing around her neck and speeded away. The gold chain was worth Rs 60,000.

Another woman Ketaki Ganesh Deshmukh (40) of Plot No. 39, Jaiprakash Nagar, was returning home on her Scooty moped (MH-31/DA 7768) at about 4.30 pm on Tuesday. When Ketaki reached near Narkesari Layout, two motorcycle-borne ruffians came from behind and snached the “mangalsutra,’ worth Rs 20,000, from her and fled away.
