Two more suicide cases registered in city

Nagpur News : City police registers at least one suicide case every day. Adding to the increasing suicide rate in the city, two more suicide cases were registered under Yashodhara and Lakadganj police station areas on Thursday.

In the first case, a teenaged boy ended his life by hanging self with a nylon rope. Yashodhara Nagar police registered a case of accidental death in this regard. The police informed, deceased Sharad Panjabrao Nimje (19), is a resident of Plot No. 125, Housing Board Society, Yadav Nagar.

Police said, Sharad took the extreme step on Thursday at 6.30 pm and hanged himself with a nylon rope. His family members discovered his body and informed Yashodhara police who reached the spot and performed panchanama.

In the second case, a young woman committed suicide by hanging self in the house of his aunty on Thursday night. The deceased has been identified as Resham Shahid Sheikh (22), a resident of Kalmeshwar, Ward No. 9.

On Thursday, Resham went to her aunty’s house at Plot No. 60, Satnami Nagar, in front of NIT ground. She hanged herself with the ceiling fan with the help of a dupatta when other members of the house were not present.
On the complaint of Mehmoja Mohammad Shafi Sheikh (45), Lakadganj police registered a case of accidental death and started further investigations.
