Two minor girls raped in Sakkardara, Kalamna; one accused arrested

Nagpur: Two minor girls were raped in Sakkardara and Kalamna police jurisdictions on Tuesday, November 16. One rape accused has been arrested.

In the first incident, a 14-year old girl, resident of Sakkardara, was alone at her house on Tuesday. Around 12.30 pm, the accused Nikhil Atram (21), native of Saoner, who was known to the girl, came to her house. The accused, taking advantage of the girl being alone in the house, raped her forcibly. The shell-shocked minor girl narrated the heinous incident to her relatives who immediately registered a case against the accused with Sakkardara police.

Acting on the complaint, PSI Gharat booked the accused Nikhil Atram under Section 376(1)(3) of the IPC read with Sections 4, 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and arrested him. Further probe is underway.

In another incident, a pervert 45-year old man, Manish Madhukar Parate, resident of Kalamna, raped the 15-year old daughter of neighbour around 9 pm on Tuesday. The minor girl was probably alone at her house when she was exploited sexually by the accused.

Kalamna API Koyalwar, based on a complaint, has booked the accused Manish Parate under Sections 376, 376(2)(J) of the IPC read with Sections 4, 8, 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. No arrest has been made in the case so far.
