Two minor girls have reportedly been kidnapped by two youths from different areas of the city in separate incidents. One of the accused abductor has been arrested.
In the first incident, a 16-year old girl, resident of Jaripatka area, was kidnapped by the accused Sonu Chaure (25), resident of Kamgar Nagar, near Gurunanak College, Nagpur, around 9 pm on Sunday. The accused lured the girl with some promise and took her with him to an undisclosed destination. The parents of the girl had gone out for domestic work when the accused kidnapped her.
Jaripatka API Niswade has registered an offence against the accused Sonu Chaure under Section 363 of IPC. A search is on to trace the girl and the accused kidnapper as well.
In other incident, the accused Amit Moreshwar Chokhandre (22), resident of Koradi Road, Khaparkheda, lured a Hudkeshwar-based 17-year old girl with marriage promise and took her with him. The incident occurred at about 4.15 pm on March 4.
On the basis of a complaint filed by father of the girl, Hudkeshwar PSI Sheikh booked the accused Amit Chokhandre under Sections 363, 366(A) of IPC and later arrested him. However, it could not be ascertained whether the kidnapped girl has been traced or not.
