Nagpur News : A 48-year-old pedestrian was knocked dead by a speeding truck at Kharbi Square on Wednesday afternoon. Pramod Soni was a resident of Saibaba Nagar in Kharbi.
Nandanvan police has registered a case against the accused truck driver Surendra Singh Randhwa. Police said that Soni was crossing the road when Randhwa heading from Kharbi knocked him down. Soni succumbed to his head injuries on the spot.
Soni had gone to buy some daily needs from nearby shop and was on his way back to home when he met with the accident.
In another incident, an unidentified man, aged 50, succumbed to his injuries suffered in a hit-and-run accident taken place on July 22, opposite to Ganeshpeth police station. He was undergoing treatment at Government Medical college and Hospital. Police said that they haven’t got any clue about the identity of the deceased. Ganeshpeth police has registered a case against unidentified driver.
