Nagpur: In a case of hit and run, a man under the influence of liquor driving a Maruti Swift car knocked four two wheelers injuring two persons. The incident occurred in posh Laxmi Nagar locality under the jurisdiction of Bajaj Nagar police station on late Friday night.
According to police, the Swift car was heading towards Aath Rasta Square, hit a two wheeler. When the people present on the spot tried to stop the vehicle, the driver moved in a speed and further knocked three two wheelers near Hotel Nagpur Ashoka before hitting a road divider at Laxmi Nagar Square. On lookers then rushed to the spot and took out the driver of the car, who was under influence of liquor and had sustained injuries. The people then handed him over to Bajaj Nagar police.
Four persons were injured in the incident and were admitted to a hospital, of which two were discharged. The other two who sustained serious injuries, are still undergoing treatment but their condition is stated to be stable.
