Nagpur: Two motorcycle borne muggers relieved a woman of gold ornaments worth Rs 1.28 lakh on Thursday night.
The victim, Kumudini Ramkrishna Hingane (58), resident of Plot No. 30, Kadu Nagar, Sakkardara, along with her husband, was returning home at about 10.15 pm on Thursday after attending a ‘Haldi’ programme being held at Mahatma Phule Hall. The couple was proceeding to their home on an Activa (MH-40/E 9158). When they reached near Bank of Maharashtra between Gajanan Square and Mhalgi Nagar Square, two unidentified motorcycle borne goons came from behind and snatched gold ornaments Kumudini was wearing in her neck and speeded away. Kumudini, after losing the gold booty worth Rs 1.28 lakh, lodged a complaint with Sakkardara police.
PSI Chavan has booked the two muggers under Sections 392, 34 of IPC and searching them.
