Two drug peddlers arrested
Nagpur:
The anti-drugs squad of Crime Branch on Saturday arrested two drug peddlers and seized over five kilograms of ganja (marijuana) worth Rs 58,000 from their possession.

Sleuths of Crime Branch were on patrol duty on Saturday when they spotted two suspicious persons were riding on a grey-cloured Bajaj Pulsar Pro Motorcycle (MH-31/DQ 7322) near Patanjali Swadeshi Kendra, Premnagar T-Point. The cops stopped them and frisked them. Upon frisking, the squad found 5.8 kg of wet ganja (marijuana) worth Rs 58,000, two mobiles worth Rs 1500 and some cash in their possession. The stuff was seized along with the motorcycle worth Rs 50,000. The accused drug peddlers have been identified as Sheikh Afsar alias Aasu Sheikh Sattar (26) of Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, near Aisha Masjid and Shafiq cAhmed alias Bhuru Rafiq Ahmed (27) of Rajiv Gandhi Nagar Slums.

Both the accused have been booked under Sections 20, 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and placed under arrest.
