Nagpur: A two-day Training Workshop of middle school science teachers commenced in city on January 21, 2016. The workshop, being held at State Science Education Institute, Ravinagar, is organized with the cooperation of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (National Middle School Education Campaign), Nyas Foundation, Dombivali and State Science Education Institute, Nagpur. The inaugural function was graced by Krushnan of Agastya Foundation, Kuppam, Hemant Lagvankar and Vishwas Bhave of Nyas Foundation and Madhuri Savarkar, Professor at State Science Education Institute.
The two-day workshop is based on concept of “Activity Based Science Learning” under the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan. The participating middle school teachers would be shown various experiments with the help of kits. A total of 23 trainees from Nagpur Division are taking part in the workshop apart from six guides. Kiran Gotmare, Suresh Gulhane and Sanjiv Badhiye are taking efforts to make the workshop a success.
