Nagpur News: Two persons, including a woman, committed suicide under the jurisdiction of Pratap Nagar and Jaripatka police station.
In the first case, an elderly woman set himself ablaze on Wednesday. According to police, the deceased Pratibha Chandrashekhar Buche (50), sustained major injuries after she set herself ablaze at her residence at Plot No. 14, Dindayal Nagar on Wednesday afternoon. She was rushed to Care Hospital but she succumbed to her injuries during preliminary treatment.
Arun Mulchand Chebe (78), a resident of the same locality, informed the police about this incidence. Pratap Nagar police reached the spot and registered a case of accidental death. However, reason behind this extreme step not be ascertained till filing of the report.
In the second case, a middle-aged man hanged himself at his residence at Bhim Chowk, Motha Indora on Wednesday evening. The deceased has been identified as Chandrapal Nagdeve Patil (47). Chandrapal hanged himself with at the ceiling of his house.
On the complaint of Jayant Chandrapal Patil (20), Jaripatka police have registered a case of accidental death. However, police are yet to establish the reason behind taking this extreme step.
Further investigations are under way in both the cases.
