Two arrested for mobile theft, 17 phones, 2 vehicles seized

Nagpur: The city police it seems have pulled up their socks against the offenders and are tightening their noose against the anti-social elements in the society. As in yet another breakthrough against the risen cases of mobile theft Sitabuldi police have arrested two persons and recovered 17 mobile phones to the tune of Rs 2.20 lakh and two bikes worth Rs 2.10 lakh from their possession.

Cops arrested Bhushan alias Rohan Jagdish Parde (21) and Ritesh Kamal Kuril (19), both residents of Saint Ravidas Mata Mandir, Timki in this connection.

Addressing the press conference on Monday, Chinmay Pandit, DCP Zone 2 said, mobile tracing made a breakthrough in this case. Few days back two bike-born miscreants snatched away a man’s mobile from Morbhavan. Following his compliant cops traced the location of the stolen phone in Jaripatka area. Subsequently, the sleuths of Sitabuldi police rushed to the spot. When cops interrogated the mobile user, he informed police that he had bought the phone from one of his Timki based friend Rohan Parde. Following which, cops nabbed Rohan and during interrogation he told about his accomplice Ritesh.

API S B Kale, constables Ajay Kale, Omprakash Bhartiya, Vishal Alakwar, Pritam Yadav, Sandeep Bhokre, Viramsingh Thakur played important role in the arrest drive.
