Nagpur News: A recklessly driven truck crushed a 5-year old boy to death on Saturday night. The heart-rending incident occurred on Hingna Road in MIDC area.
According to police, the five-year old kid, Arush Manoj Ram, resident of Hingna Road, in front of Sai Automobile, near SRPF Gate No. 2, Nagpur, was playing in front of his house at about 9.15 pm on Saturday little knowing the death was approaching fast towards him. A truck (CG-03/3199), driven rashly by an unidentified driver, knocked Arush with lethal force killing him on the spot. Scared of angry backlash from the crowd, the driver fled the spot leaving behind the killer truck. MIDC police, on being informed about the tragedy, rushed to the spot and calmed down the situation before any untoward incident.
MIDC PSI Patankar, on the basis of a complaint lodged by Devchand Timal Ram, has registered an offence under Sections 279, 304(A) of the IPC and Sub-Sections 134, 177 of Motor Vehicle Act and is searching the absconding truck driver.
