Trickster takes a doctor for ride for Rs 8,500

Nagpur: A trickster took a doctor for a ride that cost him Rs 8,500. The miscreant impersonated as manager of a pharmaceutical company and usurped the money on the pretext of repairing his car that met with an accident.

The complainant, Dr Milind Manohar Naik (56) told Ajni police that he was at his Naik Hospital in Narendra Nagar around 7 pm on Monday. A man came to his hospital and introduced himself as Sanju Suresh Sharma, Manager of Biocare Company and a native of Nashik. Sharma told Dr Naik that he met with an accident at Omkar Nagar Square and require Rs 8,500 to repair his vehicle. He promised him that he would return the money next day. Believing to story of Sharma, Dr Naik gave him Rs 8,500. But the trickster named Sharma did not show his face to Dr Naik again. Dr Naik realised that he was taken for a ride and lodged a complaint with the Ajni police.

Ajni Woman PSI S V mandwale, on the basis of Dr Naik’scomplaint, registered a case under Section 420 of the IPC and launched a search for the trickster.
