Nagpur: Transgender Chamcham Gajbhiye who was severely injured in a ghastly attack by self-professed guru of transgenders Uttam Baba few days ago, died while undergoing treatement at the hospital on Monday night. Sensing the tense situation in the aftermath of Chamcham’s death, police have consolidated bandobast in the area.
It may be mentioned that Uttam Baba – the notorious name among transgenders is of criminal background. Due to this Chamcham and other members of the community were enraged with him. Chamcham was regarded as second to Uttam Baba in their community and that turned the bone of contention and often led to the fight over supremacy between the two.
On June 4 Chamcham was brutally attacked by Uttam and his supporters when Chamcham visited at Uttam Baba’s residence at Kamna Nagar in Kalamna.
