According to police sources, the tragedy unfolded on the morning of April 28. Around 7:30 am, while the world was beginning its day, Hashir went to the second floor of his family home. There, using a scarf tied to a railing, he took the final, desperate step of hanging himself.

Upon discovering him, his distraught family rushed him to Mayo Hospital, clinging to the hope of a miracle. However, the darkness of the act proved final; after a preliminary examination, doctors were forced to declare the young boy dead on arrival.

Following a complaint filed by the boy’s grieving father, Shahnu Rafiq Shah, the Lakadganj Police have registered a case of accidental death.

“At this stage, the motive behind this extreme step remains a mystery,” a police official stated. “We are committed to investigating every possible angle to uncover the truth behind this painful loss.”

As of now, no suicide note has been found, and the vibrant life of a seventh-grader remains a story cut tragically short. The corridors of his school and the streets of his neighbourhood now stand silent, echoing the collective sorrow of a city mourning a son.
