Traffic cops seize lethal weapon from two car-borne boys on CA Road

lethal weapon found in the Car in CA RoadNagpur: Tension ran high on busy Central Avenue when traffic cops, during a routine checking drive, recovered a lethal weapon from two car-borne young boys on Thursday morning. The weapon was in the shape of a multi-edged khanjar (dagger or knife) the sight of which would send chill down the spines. The two car-borne boys have been arrested. The car has also been seized.

According to police, the arrested boys have been identified as Shubham Dhanraj Uike (22) and Sunny Jairamdas Makhija, both residents of Teka Naka, Nagpur. The Traffic Police were undertaking a routine checking drive on Central Avenue at 10.30 am on Thursday. A Maruti Swift Car (MH-31/EA 3933) was also checked. The car as well as the two accused boys were subjected to a thorough frisking. The frisking left the traffic cops stunned when they found the lethal khanjar in the possession of the two boys. Tehsil police were immediately alerted about the recovery of the dagger. A team of policemen comprising Ravindra Savarkar and Shailesh Pillewan and a Police Mitra Dinkar Akotkar reached the spot and arrested the two accused Shubham Uike and Sunny Makhija after registered a case against them. Cops are questioning the two arrested boys to ascertain the motive behind possessing of the deadly weapon.
