Nagpur: An year old toddler lying unattended in a cradle lost his life as he accidentally got a cloth rope tightened around his neck after he fell from the cradle. The incident took place in Somalwada area on Friday. A case of accidental death has been registered.
The kid’s father Gopal Vitthal Magar (28), resident of Plot No. 101, Rahul Nagar, Somalwada told police that his wife went for work between 9 am and 12.30 pm on Friday. Before leaving she reportedly rested her one-year old son Aryan in a cradle. However, when she returned home, she was shocked to see Aryan hanging to a cloth that was tied to the cradle. The toddler was rushed to Orange City Hospital immediately. But it was too late as Aryan was declared ‘brought dead.’
It is assumed that the kid could have tried to move down the cradle but in the process got entangled in the cloth that was tied to the cradle. However, it is a matter of an in-depth investigation that would possibly reveal the exact cause of death of the tiny tot.
Sonegaon Lady PSI Raut has registered a case of accidental death and launched a probe.
