Three women co-passengers in auto relieve a Wardha man of Rs 70000; cops launch search

robberyNagpur: Three women co-passengers travelling in an auto robbed a man of his Rs 70,000 on Monday evening. The incident occurred between Sitabuldi Bus Stand and Gandhibagh. Cops have launched a search to nab the three accused women.

According to police, the victim Devendra Shriram Gulhane (40), resident of Gandhi Square, Arvi, District Wardha, had come to Nagpur for purchasing grocery (kirana). After reaching Nagpur, Devendra boarded an auto from Sitabuldi Bus Stand for going to Gandhibagh, Itwari. The three unidentified accused women also boarded the auto. During the travel, the three accused women diverted attention of Devendra and removed Rs 70,000 cash from his bag. The theft of cash was noticed by Devendra when he reached Gandhibagh but it was too late as the accused women had disappeared from the scene.

Tehsil PSI Raut booked the three unidentified accused women under Sections 379, 34 of the IPC and searching for them.
