Nagpur: In a significant push toward sustainable urban mobility, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has completed three out of eleven planned electric vehicle (EV) charging stations under a public–private partnership model.
The newly operational charging stations are located at Rahate Colony Square (near Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth land), the parking area of Yashwant Stadium beside Patrakar Bhavan, and at Wadi Naka on Amravati Road.
These facilities will cater to two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers, making EV charging more accessible and convenient for citizens across the city.
The project is being implemented by Reliance BP Infra Limited, Mumbai, under the supervision of Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Abhijeet Chaudhari.
Additional Commissioner Vaishnavi Bhondwe recently performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the upcoming charging station at Rahate Chowk.
Once all eleven stations are completed, Nagpur is expected to strengthen its position as a leading city in promoting electric mobility and green infrastructure.
