Nagpur: Nearly more than 60,000 candidates who have passed their TET exam are still unemployed from past four to five years. Even after passing not a single candidate has got a job. Now the government has even stopped recruitment in government school. The government had started this TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) to raise the standard of education. This TET exam according to the Right to Education Act, 2009, is the standard qualifying exam meant to select teachers for government schools. The teachers had to appear for this examination even after doing DTEd and BEd as it was made compuslory.

Since 2014 four TET exams are over and nearly 60,000 candidates have passed but compared to that the teachers’ post vacant in state are very less. After this there was no need to take the TET exams. The exams were held so that government keeps on getting the examination fees.

The TET exam is conducted by the Maharashtra State Council Pune. The recruitment for the teachers was done 8 years back after that the recruitment were stopped. In entire state there are about more 10 lakh who have done DTEd and BEd.

Just a few days back Education Minister Vinod Tawde had given the orders to the DTEd and BED Colleges to write that giving admission does not guarantee job. This shows that the government is playing with future of candidates. There are so many candidates who have crossed the age of job and now they are not eligible.
