Nagpur News : A19-year-old thief, Rohit Masram, who was released on bail, was caught by the residents of Jai Hind society in Shyam Nagar under the jurisdiction of Sonegaon police station on Tuesday evening.
On Tuesday evening, Masram had broken open the car lock and had stolen the music system worth Rs 8000 from the car. The car belonged to complainant Ramesh Guggal (49), who stays in the same society. Masram had also broken open Guggals’ tenant, Priya Chavhan’s house.
Guggal had parked his car in front of his residence. He said that he had gone to meet a friend while Chavhan had gone to a close by shop when Masram broke his car’s lock and even Chavhan’s house. The incident came to light when Chavhan returned home and saw Masram fleeing from the house. She raised alarm alerting other residents who then nabbed him. He was handed over to Sonegaon police.
Police said that Chavhan’s house was ransacked but nothing was stolen.
