Thief caught stealing money from temple on CCTV

Temples, Churches, Mosques and other places of worship used to be a place which is revered. It used to be a place where people come to pray to the Almighty in their times of crisis or sorrow. Since Indians are generally very religious and give utmost importance and value to God and places of worship. Once they the prayers are answered the devotees donate huge sums of money as thanksgiving offering.

However, even these places of worship are now vulnerable to thieves and unscrupulous elements. In a daring act on August 12, 2015, a thief broke into a Hanuman temple, near Ajni Square and stole the cash after breaking open the offering box. Unfortunately for the thief, the entire theft was recorded in the Closed Circuit Tele Vision (CCTV).

The Secretary of Hanuman Temple Trust Narayan Ambekar lodged a case with the Dhantoli Police Station on August 13, 2015 about the theft of money from the offering box.

Based on the complaint lodged by the temple authorities, In-charge of Dhantoli Police Station, Police Inspector R A Mane has registered a case under section 457 and 380 of Indian Penal Code.
