Nagpur: A simple looking flat in a Dighori apartment turned into a talking point on a Thursday when a simpleton young couple ended their lives in suicide. The double tragedy also took a toll, albeit, in a different way. A two-and-half year old girl was left orphaned and perplexed, too, as Dear Papa and Mama of her left this world without a good-bye and a loving kiss to her. All she was left was to witness her parents hanging to ceiling fans, motionless, in separate rooms of her flat.
Dighori area was shaken to the core when the young couple, identified as Naushad Pandharinath Donadkar (28) and Rohini Naushad Donadkar (26), residents of Flat No. S-7, Sufi Plaza Apartment, in a suicide pact, took the extreme step by hanging to the ceiling fans with the help of scarves in separate rooms. Naushad and Rohini probably ended their lives around 8 pm on Thursday. The reason behind the suicide pact could not be ascertained as yet. The Donadkar couple left behind their two-and-half year old daughter.
It is gathered that Naushad was working in a medicine shop and Rohini was doing LLB.
The suicide pact came to the notice when the innocent little kid opened doors of the rooms as usual in the morning. At first the kid was amused and bemused as well to find her parents hanging to the ceiling fans, motionless. The scenario is not meant for any kid of her age to witness. The tiny tot must have called her papa and mama to get down and hug her. But that did not happen. Soon the gravity of the situation and the dark reality was sensed and the girl started crying at her loudest and inconsolably, too. Other flat owners too came to know of the suicide pact. The neighbours were shocked to find the young couple in suicide pact. They could not believe the amiable natured Naushad and Rohini in suicide pact. The neighbours had never ever seen the husband-wife duo facing any sort of trouble nor in any dispute. But the reality was that Naushad and Rohini bid good-bye to this world in bizarre way.
