Nagpur: The fire at Suruchi factory near Kapsi Khurd on Bhandara road is giving sleepless nights to the fire fighters. There is heavy likelihood of the flames continuing to stay for the next couple of weeks, informed Chief Fire Officer Rajendra Uchake.
Four fire personnel have already sustained severe injuries due to this fire who are rushed to Bhavani Multi-speciality Hospital.
The fire which has engulfed all the five floors of the building, including the floor comprised stock of dried chillies, used as raw material in the factory, has added to the frightening struggle of fire fighters engaged in containing the flames. Even the floors are made of wood and with single entry in the building, fire fighters are struggling to douse the flames, asserted Uchake.
The fire which started on Monday is yet to get under control. However the cause of the fire and the losses could not be ascertained till date as the work of extinguishing fire is still in progress.
