Taking inspiration from the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament, the VIT Student Design Competition Challenge aims to bring together the finest teams in football – the Robots. Student use their imagination and technical design skills for constructing the prototype of required cybernetic organism.

The Cyborg Soccer was comprised of a series of 10-minute matches conducted round-robin style, with a semi-final and final round determining the winning teams. Navigating their “droid players” though a small scale soccer field via remote control, they maneuver these athletically inclined robots to score goals with tennis balls.

On this occasion Principal VIT Dr.Sanjay S Uttarwar said that “In addition to competing, each team developed an engineering notebook that documented the robot design and design process. Apart from this we are motivating our students to participate in Robocon-India which is one of the best robotics competitions held in Central India”.

Jitesh N. Maheshwari (Chairman, VIT), said, “We congratulate the winning team”. Dr. Pooja Maheshwari (Secretary, VIT) along with Dr. G.S. Natrajan (Director, VIT) and Dr. Sanjay S Uttarwar also appreciate the work of organizing committee.
