Visually challenged people will show the way to the sighted in the Second Blind Man’s Car Rally, which is going to be held in Nagpur on February 01, 2015.

With more than 60 cars participating last year, Round Table India and Gyan Jyoti Niwasi Andh Vidhylaya, Hingna, Nagpur for the Blind are deeming it to be a record event in itself.

While the latest technologies, the GPS and the voice maps are making drivers behind the wheel comfortable, the event showcased 60 visually challenged men and women navigating cars across pre-selected city circuit.

“This was a unique experience…” said Mrs. Kuntal Agrawal a participant of last year’s event, Another participant Mrs. Pallavi Pashine added “normally it is the people with normal sight who show the way to the blind. But on the day, the blind man guided those with vision. The instructions for the route map were in Braille, which the blind navigator can interpret and guide the drive in the rally.”
