The annual cultural fest of Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Pratishruti got inaugurated in the college premises on today, on 19th of February 2014 in the esteemed presence of the honorable chief guest Major General MMS Bharaj, Vishishth Seva Medal awardee.

The event was graced by the Chairman Banwarilalji Purohit, General Secretary Govindlalji Agarwal, Vice Chairman Chandrakantbhai Thakar, Treasurer Ashokkumar Pacheriwala, Director DMT Q.H Jeevaji, Principal Dr VS Deshpande, Vice principal Dr. RS Pande, Dean S.R.C Dr Rashmi Shahu, Prof. Incharge Pratishruti XIV Prof. Pravin Dwaramwar and cultural secretary (S.R.C) Vishwas Setiya.

DR VS Deshpande in his opening remark presented a brief report on the achievements and activities of the academic session 2013-14. Further Dr. Deshpande informed about the college being ranked 1st in the GHRDC survey of the private colleges in Maharashtra and 36th in the country. The college also ranked 50th in the survey of the best colleges in the country conducted by the Outlook magazine.

Chief Guest of the function Vishisth Seva Medal recipient Major General MMS Bharaj, in his address to the audience motivated the students by emphasizing on the virtues of integrity, honesty and morality by citing an example of ‘The Lost Wallet’ experiment conducted by Readers’ Digest in which the city of Mumbai ranked second in terms of honesty.

In his presidential address, Banwarilal Purohit, encouraged the students by describing the strong character and greatness of Chattrapati  Shivaji Maharaj.   He also inspired the students by stating that today’s youth is the future of the society and strive towards realizing Dr. Abdul Kalam’s dream of a successful India.

Vishwas Sethiya – Cultural Secretary S.R.C presented a brief review of the various events and workshops conducted in Pratishruti XIV.

Prof. (Mrs.) Rashmi Shahu, Dean SRC proposed the vote of thanks and appreciated the efforts of the entire staff and students.

The upcoming days will witness the final rounds of exciting events like Ingenium, Footsteps, Persona, Robowars. The fest would conclude with the cultural night on 21stof February 2014.
