Nagpur News:

An 18-year-old girl ended her life in rage over an alleged depression after she hurt her younger brother during the fight between them, claimed the family members. However, cops suspect some personal problem behind the teenager’s drastic step.
Twelfth standard student Kusum Prajapati, a resident of Patrabe Wadi in Yashodhara Nagar police station area, died of consuming poison on Tuesday afternoon. She had consumed pesticide at home while her mother was busy talking to neighbour and her brothers were playing. Her father, Mohan, a mechanic who also owned a small transport business near the house was also busy at his office.
Prajapati told police that Kusum, elder sister of Nitin and Bhodu, had a fight with her younger brother Bhodu on Tuesday. Bhodu was badly hurt and Kusum was reprimanded by her parents.
“Bhodu sustained few stitches but was fine. Even the siblings talked normally with each other. But she seemed to be a bit depressed since then,” informed Mohan. He added that Kusum was an average student in studies but short tempered in nature.
Around 4 pm, Kusum’s mother found her lying in the room. Police told that Kusum was struggling for life when she was rushed to private hospital at Kamal square. After an hour, she was declared dead. Though parents claimed that she was depressed over a fight with brother, police alleged some suspicious reason behind the suicide.
Her parents made very clear that the fight was over a trivial issue and was very normal. Police have seized her cell phone and have been taking records of call details.
Police said that they are investigating the case under an accidental death.
“We will probe the matter in every angle. A simple fight with brother can’t force a teen girl to end her life. We will be interrogating her family, friends and relatives as well,” said police.
