Nagpur: A swing made of sari turned noose for a 14 year old boy when he was strangled while enjoying the swing. The incident happened on Monday afternoon at the boy’s residence in Durga Nagar. The boy identified as Kumar Sughanshu Pande was later found hanging from the ceiling fan by his mother.
Cops said Kumar always used to swing on the cradle made of a sari on the second floor of his house. On Monday, Kumar’s father, who is a priest, had gone for work while his mother was also out. When she returned, she found Kumar strangled in the sari and called out to her elder son.
Kumar’s brother freed him and rushed him to Government Medical College and Hospital, where he was announced brought dead. Kumar’s family members told cops he would always swing on the cradle made of sari, and he must have got entangled in it while playing on Monday.
Kalamna police have registered a case of accidental death.
