Swine flu : 3 deaths reported in a single day

Nagpur: Swine flu cases are on the rise again, as three deaths have been reported in a single day in the city. Three patients including one woman undergoing swine flu treatment at Government Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) succumbed to the deadly disease on Tuesday.

Shockingly, five patients have succumbed to swine flu in last two days. The deceased who died on tuesday are Jyoti Shende (52), a resident of Jaripatka, Keval Shahu (48), a resident of Chhindwara and Subhash Googalmane (40) of Amravati.

The rise of swine flu in the festive season has created fears among the citizens. According to information Jyoti Shende was undergoing treatment in GMCH from last 4-5 days. She died in the wee hours of Tuesday and the other male patients died in the evening hours. All of them were put on ventilator.

Presently, there are 4 swine flu patients and one suspected patient in GMCH.
