Nagpur: A delegation of Swedish Consulate General on Friday paid a goodwill visit to Nagpur Municipal Corporation and held a meeting with Mayor Pravin Datke, Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar and other officials. The 10-member delegation is headed by Consul General Fredrika Ornbrant. The team held discussion on various aspects of projects being implemented by the NMC.
Other members of the delegation include Consulate General’s Business Development Manager Pradnesh Desai, Associate Annie Ross, ABB Company’s Vice President M V Johrapurkar, Axis Video Systems’ Vinay V, Dr Paras Prakash, Ericsson’s Director Amul Madan, and others. On NMC’s behalf, Standing Committee Ramesh Shingare, Corporator Sunil Agrawal, Deputy Commissioner Z R Siddiqui, Chief Engineer Ulhas Debadwar, Superintending Engineer Shashikant Hastak and other officials.
Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar gave power-point presentation on various projects including geographic and historic importance of Nagpur City, aims of making the city a Smart City, environmentally sustainable and beautiful city, wi-fi, CCTV surveillance, smart parking, fleet management, intelligent transport, etc. The meeting discussed various projects including 24X7 water supply, water recycling and reuse, educational hub, Metro Rail project as well as MIHAN project.
