Mumbai: Bollywood actress Sunny Leone literally left a reporter red-faced at a Holi event yesterday. Leone slapped a journalist at a five-star hotel in Gujarat in a fit of rage after she was asked how much she charges for ‘night programmes’ now that she is a movie star.
The Indo-Canadian actress was in Surat for a Holi event titled, ‘Play Holi with Sunny Leone’. Post the incident the organisers were anxious if she would perform at the event.
But being a thorough professional, Sunny danced to popular Bollywood numbers for 15 minutes, as promised. However, she strictly informed the organisers that she would come to the event only if there is no media inside.
Sunny, along with her husband Daniel Weber had arrived at the hotel early in the morning. Soon, a drunk intruder entered her room and asked for odd favours from her. Since the intruder had left the door open, she did not let the incident take an ugly turn and took things under control.
However, Leone lost her cool when a reporter from a national news channel started interviewing her in the corridor. Just a few questions in, the reporter asked Leone, “You were a porn star earlier, now you are a film star. So how much do you charge now?” (Also Read: What is Sunny Leone ‘Passionate’ About? Listening to the question, Leone got angry asked the reporter to repeat the question and the reporter said, “How much do you charge for a night program?” She didn’t take a minute to react and slapped the journalist in front of the hotel staff and visitors and went back to her hotel room.
Reacting to the incident, her husband Daniel Webber told mid-day, “Sunny has given an apt reply to the reporter so we are not filing any police complaint. The organisers were also college kids so we do not want their careers to be damaged. But henceforth, Sunny will think a thousand times before coming to Gujarat.”
