Nagpur:
Swimmers of School of Scholars, Wanadongri won top positions in the 5th state level open sea swiming competition organised by Sindhudurg District Aquatic Association at Chiwla Beach, Malwan recently.
Sanika Borkute stood 2nd by covering the distance of 1 km and Yash Gulhane finished the stretch of 2 km at 5th position. The other swimmers from school were Shivam Warade, Charushree Jichkar, Himanshi Borkute, Samarth Kanhere, Mayank Jichkar, Bhavesh Dhonde, Mohit Mandavkar, Yacchat Chowdhary, Anurag Khune, Priyanshu Sorte and Sai Ojass.
Director, Mamta Dutta, principal Kavita Nagarajan said that such competitions help the children build stamina and mental ability and prepare them for further competitions at national level. They also appreciated the efforts of the swimming coach Nitin Malwade whose able guidance helped the students win this competition.
