Nagpur: The student whose video of setting ablaze couple of two-wheelers parked at girl’s hostel in Government Medical College and Hospital has gone underground and reportedly at large ever since the incident took place. The 4 member probe committee formed by the Dean Dr Abhimanyu Niswade has recommended his suspension from college for atleast one year. Dr Niswade is expected to decide on his suspension on Tuesday.
The incident that took place on April 13, was recorded on CCTV camera installed at the hostel. Soon the video went viral and stirred a row. As the demand for action against the accused grew stronger, the dean constituted the committee to investigate the matter.
The student reportedly hails from Jallandhar in Punjab and has been at large since the incident.
A police case has also been registered against the accused.
