Stakeholders’ meet held to bring uniformity in tendering process in WCL

Stakeholders meet was organized today under the ages of Vigilance Department of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL). Vendors who are working with WCL specially those providing vehicles on hire basis along with WCL officials came forward to one platform to highlight various issues concerning them. The main objective of this meet was to bring uniformity in tendering process across the organization. Various issues related to hiring of vehicles like rules, guidelines and manual provisions were deliberated in the meet.

Chief Vigilance Officer , A. P. Labhane , General Manager ( Vigilance ), D. Biswas inaugurated the meet. They encouraged all stakeholders to come out with their difficulties and suggestion, so that complete transparency is established in the processes. Vendors from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh came up with lot of positive suggestions which may be incorporated in future contracts.

At the outset, Dharamraj Kumar , Sr. Manager (Vigilance) made a power point presentation on prevalent practices and explained best prevalent practice adapted by various other organizations. He also suggested to use technology to bring in transparency in the operation.

About 125 participants attended the whole day programme, who appreciated the efforts of vigilance department. WCL representatives from all the areas stated that such preventive vigilance initiatives to be continued in future also.
