Nagpur: SOCIAL Security Branch (SSB) of the City Police busted a prostitution racket and rescued three women after raiding ‘Relax Spa — The Hair & Beauty’ on first floor at Ginger Square Mall in Jaripatka area Friday night. Cops arrested three persons, including a woman for operating the sex racket under the garb of the spa and massage parlour.
The accused have been identified as Raksha alias Sana Manish Shukla (22), a resident of Ravi Nagar, Mohammad Nasir Abdul Shakoor Bhati (48) and Firoz Abdul Shakoor Bhati (38), both residents of Plot No 08, Laxmi Plaza Galaxy Urban, Mankapur.
Acting on the specific input from one of their informers that a sex racket was being operated by the owner of Relax Spa, Crime Branch officers sent a decoy customer to the place. After it was confirmed that Raksha alias Sana Shukla and Ghati brothers were accepting cash and providing young women to customers, a team of SSB raided the parlour. Cops rescued the three women pushed into prostitution by the accused trio and seized an iPhone, Rs 5,000 cash and other material worth Rs 85,110 from them.
After the SSB team handed Raksha Shukla and Ghati brothers to Jaripatka Police, a case under Sections 370, 34 of the Indian Penal Code, read with Sections 4,57 of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act, was registered against them. The raid was conducted by PI Kavita Isarkar, PSI Mahendra Thote and constabulary staff under the supervision of senior Crime Branch officials.
