Nagpur News: A speeding truck knocked a motorcyclist dead under Kalamna police station area on Friday night. Police have arrested the ‘killer’ truck driver.
The incidence occurred at Nagpur-Bhandara National Highway No. 6, in front of Ganesh Dal Mill, at around 6 pm.
According to information, the deceased Amit Ramchandra Uikey (22), a native of Ramtek, was going back home on his motorcycle (MH 40 U 8759) at his Nagpur residence from Nagpur-Bhandara Highway No. 6 when a speeding truck driven by Suresh Kalaram Shahu (32) hit him. Amit fell down with the impact of the accident.
Amit, who lived at Rahul Nagar slums, Somalwada, was rushed to hospital for treatment but doctors declared him on the spot. Cops have arrested the accused Suresh, a resident of Small factory area, Wardhaman Nagar.
On the complaint of Yuvraj Laxman Uikey (29), a resident of Rahul Nagar Slums, Kalamna police registered a case under Sections 279, 427, 304 (a) of the IPC.
