The pillars that are erected to support the flyover have small enclosures erected around them. The beggars who are often begging at important squares make this small enclosures are their haunt and sleep there.
This sight is often found at the enclosure hit opposite to Sitabuldi Police Station and Panchasheel Square. This unassuming place, which is often ignored by the civic authorities and the Police officials, can prove to be a potentially strategic point to place a bomb or explosive, since both these places are busy throughout the day where many vehicles stop at traffic lights. Any untoward incident could occur at these places.
The police have often cleared these small enclosures, but then the very next moment, these beggars are back. These beggars have even destroyed the greenery planted in the landscaped area in the enclosures.
With the twin bombs that went off in Chennai Railway station, the entire country is in red alert. Should the cops not clear every such vulnerable and strategic places?
