Nagpur: Panic gripped the Sonegaon area on Friday morning after the body of a 30-year-old man was found floating in Sonegaon Lake. The deceased has been identified as Ajay Kuwarlal Katre, a resident of Sonegaon Vasti.
Ajay was living with his family in the area and worked as a cook at Gayatri Hotel.
According to information available, Ajay had been missing from home since Thursday morning. His family searched for him in the surrounding areas and contacted relatives, but failed to locate him. A missing person complaint was subsequently lodged with the police.

On Friday morning, local residents noticed the body of a man floating in the lake and alerted the police. A police team reached the spot and, with the assistance of local divers, recovered the body from the water.
The deceased was subsequently identified as Ajay Katre.
Police have sent the body to a hospital for post-mortem examination. While suicide is suspected, police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death to determine whether there was any other cause or factor involved.
