Nagpur: A minor family dispute turned violent in Nagpur’s Dhantoli area after a 20-year-old man allegedly assaulted his 55-year-old father and struck him on the head with a stone. The injured man was rushed to hospital for treatment, while Dhantoli Police have arrested the accused and launched an investigation.
According to police, the incident took place in front of Naivedyam Hotel under the jurisdiction of Dhantoli Police Station. The victim, identified as Parasram Irpate (55), works as a security guard.

Police said Parasram was having tea with his wife when an argument broke out between the couple over a domestic issue. As the dispute escalated, the woman allegedly called their 20-year-old son, Bhavesh Irpate, to the spot.
Upon arriving, Bhavesh allegedly became involved in the argument and began assaulting his father with kicks and punches. During the altercation, he allegedly picked up a stone lying on the roadside and struck Parasram on the head, causing injuries.
The injured man was immediately taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
Based on the medical report and the victim’s complaint, Dhantoli Police registered a case against Bhavesh Irpate under the relevant provisions of law and arrested him. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
