somalwadasportsNagpur News: Somalwar Nikalas High School boys and BVM Civil Lines girls emerged divisional champ in Inter-School Badminton Tournament at Wardha on Wednesday.

Both the teams have qualified for the state meet to be held at Nashik from September 13. In the boys final, Somalwar Nikalas representing Nagpur city blanked Narayana Vidyalayam, 2-0. In the single, Gaurav Mithe pipped Paras Hazare 21-19, 21-15. In doubles Mithe and Saurabh Kherdekar got the better of Paras Hazare-Mehar Singh 21-15, 21-11.

In the girls seciton, BVM Civil Lines defeated DY Patil School 2-0. Mugdha Agrey had no difficulty in eliminating Esha Dixit 21-4m 21-6. In doubles, Pallavi Pitale-Rashi Lambi thrashed Esha Dixit-Ketaki Mundiwale 21-2, 21-4.
