Nagpur: The President of Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa has served a show cause notice to the erring members of of District Bar Association asking them why disciplinary action should not be taken against them for not holding the elections though the term has expired on February 2017.
Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa has asked for an reply with a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of show cause notice.
Adv N M Gavhale, a member of the Nagpur District Bar Association had sent a representation to the President of Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa seeking action against the Nagpur District Bar Association for not holding the election. Despite Adv Gavhale giving representations to elect new body, the elections were not held.
